Using Apps at the Bedside to Transform Care

In this session, we will explore the multitude of excellent medical information available at our fingertips on our phones. Using real-life examples of patient problems commonly presenting to UC, we will explore apps for public health, medical knowledge, medications, pediatric growth and development, and the management of acute emergencies. Medical apps can allow us all to be the expert at the bedside and expand the scope of how we care for sick patients in the communities we serve.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will:
1. Understand the landscape of medical applications available and evaluate their usefulness to their own practice
2. Be able to problem solve at the bedside with apps in real time
3. Add 3 resources to their phones that they will use THIS WEEK
