Dr. Jeannie Kenkare is a distinguished urgent care physician and President of Yale New Haven Health (YNHH) Urgent Care (formerly PhysicianOne Urgent Care), having founded Connecticut’s first privately owned full-service urgent care center in 2008. With deep expertise in operating urgent care centers and clinical care, Dr. K grew the group to 28 locations across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. She has pioneered the integration of digital and telemedicine platforms to enhance care quality, including a 24/7 telemedicine service that complements physical centers. Her leadership was instrumental in the 2023 sale of POUC to YNHH, solidifying the company's position as a regional leader. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenkare prioritized patient-centered care, clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance. She also contributes to medical education as an Assistant Clinical Instructor and serves on various healthcare boards, including NERUCA and the UCA's SAG.
